Committee Changes

On behalf of the Committee I would like to announce that Rodney Humphrys has agreed to fill the position of President following Matt's resignation at the April committee meeting.

Matt, having taken on the role of President as a temporary fill in, found that he was unable to dedicate the time needed to do the job properly.

Following Matt's resignation the committee needed to nominate someone to fill the Presidents position until the next AGM. Rodney, having previously indicated a desire to take on the role of President if the opportunity presented itself, was nominated by the committee and accepted the position. For those members that haven't met Rodney, he is a founding member of the club and former President having filled the role for a number of years while the club was being established.

Mal then announced that he would resign from the Vice President and Treasurer positions as of the May General meeting. On behalf of the Committee and Club members, I would like to thank Mal for the work he has put into the club over a number of years.

The committee will need to nominate someone to take on the position of Treasurer until the next AGM. Anyone interested in taking on the role should contact the committee.

I also encourage all members to attend the next General Meeting on Tuesday 6th May, to be a part of discussions on the future direction of the club.
